In March of 2015 I was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) which was attacking my kidneys and causing multiple problems in my body. Doctors put me on high dosages of steroids and several other medications; they told me repeatedly that Lupus does not go away and I would have to deal with it the rest of my life. They also said it would be at least three years before the Lupus would go into remission and medication dosage could be lowered. Rather than allow those words to discourage me I continued to believe God would heal my body.
In March of 2016 I had a follow up appointment with my doctor. He was amazed because my numbers were normal and the lupus seemed to be in remission! That day he began to lower my dosages of medication, particularly of the steroids, and said, “we will look again in a few months and if the numbers are stable, we can take you off it completely.”
Friday, June 10th, I had my 3-month follow up appointment with my doctor. The numbers are still normal, kidney function is great, and lupus is in remission. God is so good! I give Him thanks for touching my body and believe that He will complete the work He has started.
It doesn’t matter what you’re going through or how bad your situation may seem – God knows our needs. Just trust in Him, for He is truly able and willing to move in your life. Thanks be to God!!!
